2008 SCION tC

The tC is Scion's two-door sport coupe and the third model for Scion. The all-new brand from Toyota that is geared toward the youth market. Scion offers vehicles with generous standard equipment for a value-oriented price that are easily customizable. "The tC is the first vehicle developed exclusively and strategically for the Scion brand," said Jim Farley, Scion vice president. The tC also offers the most traditional styling of the three Scion models.

Scion has always aimed at younger buyers, and for 2007 it's offering the tC sport coupe with a Spec Package model aimed at tuners. The package deletes some features to make the car easier to customize.

Jim Farley, Scion's vice president, said the tC's steering, suspension and brakes were tuned with a European bias. In fact, the car's platform is shared with the Avensis, a Toyota model that's sold in Europe. The tC hatchback coupe uses a 160-hp, 2.4-liter four-cylinder.

For 2006, the tC's updated audio system featured new steering-wheel-mounted audio controls and available Apple iPod compatibility.
